Terms of use

These terms apply to everything on VisionPrices: pages, search results, listings, price comparisons, outbound retailer links, accounts, saved items, and any message you send us.

If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes, and the current version is always the one published here.

VisionPrices is operated by ORIGO BYTE LTD, trading as VisionPrices, a company registered in England and Wales.

VisionPrices does not sell contact lenses. We are not a retailer, a pharmacy, an optician, a dispenser, a marketplace, or an agent for any of them. We hold no stock. We take no payment. We ship nothing. We never see an order.

We collect prices that retailers publish, put them side by side, and send you to the retailer to buy. From the moment you click through, you are that retailer's customer. Their terms, privacy policy, checkout conditions, returns policy and delivery promises apply, not ours.

Contact lenses are prescription medical devices in the United States. You need a valid, unexpired prescription from a licensed prescriber to buy them.

We never ask for your prescription, never store one, and never verify one.

Under the FTC Contact Lens Rule, that verification duty sits with the seller: the retailer you buy from must verify your prescription with your prescriber before dispensing. Every retailer we list is independently responsible for meeting that obligation. Nothing on this site removes it or works around it. A retailer offering to skip it is one you should not buy from.

You can browse and compare every price here without a prescription, because comparing is not buying. You will be asked for one at the retailer's checkout.

Nothing on VisionPrices is medical, optometric or clinical advice, and nothing here is a substitute for an eye examination.

The specifications we publish (base curve, diameter, material, water content, wear schedule, replacement interval, power ranges) are catalog data describing a product. They are not a recommendation that a lens is suitable for your eyes.

Two lenses can share every published specification and still not be interchangeable for you. Which lens suits you is a decision for you and your eye care professional. Do not change lens type, brand, material or wear schedule based on a price on this site without speaking to your prescriber first.

Every price here was observed at a particular moment, on a retailer's website or in its product feed. Each offer on a product page shows when we last checked that retailer.

Retailers change prices, shipping charges and promotions whenever they like, including in the seconds between our page loading and you arriving at theirs. Stock changes the same way.

The retailer's own checkout is the only authoritative price. Read it before you pay.

We do not warrant that any listing is complete, current or error-free.

Some retailers advertise one price and add charges later in checkout. Where we know about those charges from a retailer's published terms, we add them back in so two offers can be compared honestly, and we label the offer to show we have done so.

Some outbound links may earn us a commission if you buy. Some earn us nothing.

Commission never affects the order offers appear in, and never affects the price you pay. Earning a commission does not make us the seller, and does not move any part of the retailer's responsibility for your order onto us.

You do not need an account to compare prices. Everything on the site works without one.

If you want one, you can register with an email address and a password, or with Sign in with Google. A Google sign-in only creates and signs you into your VisionPrices account: we never post to your Google account or read anything else in it.

If you choose to create an account, you agree to give accurate details, to keep your password to yourself, and to take responsibility for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You can close your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the site, other people, or our systems.

The text, layout, design, graphics, logos, software and compiled comparison data on VisionPrices belong to us or our licensors unless stated otherwise.

Brand names, product names and retailer logos belong to their respective owners. They appear here to identify products, and imply no endorsement in either direction.

We provide the site with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will always be available, complete or free of errors, or that a listing will match a retailer's live checkout.

To the fullest extent the law allows, VisionPrices is not liable for any loss arising from: a price difference; a listing error; an out-of-date offer; a retailer we do not cover; the acts or omissions of any retailer; any order you place with a retailer; or the site being unavailable.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some US states do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, where the company that operates VisionPrices is registered.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the state or country where you live.
